BREBES – The number of HIV AIDS sufferers in Brebes Regency from year to year tends to increase in the last 7 years since 2013. Brebes DPRD member Tri Murdiningsih disclosed the data in a socialization about Stunting and HIV AIDS in the local Korpri building, Tuesday, December 24, 2019 yesterday.
According to him, the number of people with HIV AIDS in 2013 reached 70 patients. Then increased to 76 patients in 2014. In 2015 there were findings of 73 patients. Then in 2016 it increased dramatically to 137 sufferers. Then in 2017 there are 152 sufferers and 2018 there will be 162 sufferers.
“For the past six years, from 2013 to 2018 there were 670 patients found. For 2019, there have been 53 findings of HIV AIDS sufferers. It is estimated that the total number of HIV AIDS sufferers in Brebes reaches over three thousand, “he said.
Meanwhile, the Brebes Regent Idza Priyanti stated, the Brebes Regency Government through the Health Service is intensively doing various efforts to cope with the many cases of HIV AIDS in Brebes. He gave an example, the Health Office assisted cases of patients or patients, screened all pregnant women and key populations, and counseled students.
“We continue to strive to deal with cases of HIV / AIDS, including counseling citizens and students. And also through socialization on social media, “Idza Priyanti said.
