MNJ Institute of Oncology

MNJ Institute of Oncology is an autonomous and non profit Institution under the Government of Andhra Pradesh devoted to improving cancer treatment, prevention, education and research. The hospital has been given the status of Regional Cancer Center by the Govt. of India in 1996. This hospital was declared as an autonomous institution vide G.O. Ms. No.128, HM&FW (M2) Dept., dt. 21st March, 1996 under the state Government.

The Rules and Regulations are governed by the Byelaws of the Institution. The administration of the Institution is governed by the Governing Council headed by the Hon'ble Chief Minister as Chairman, Hon'ble Minister for Medical &Health as Pro Chairman, the Principal Secretary to Governmentt, HM&FW as Vice Chairman and the Director, MNJIO as Member Secretary and other members.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh will provide funds as Grant-in-aid towards salaries, non salaries and illness fund to this Institution. The Government of India will provide regular Grant-in-aid of Rs.75.00 Lakhs per annum towards purchase of equipment. User charges are being collected from patients.
