Our hospital is unique in Queensland in having the only dedicated private inpatient service for the treatment of post-natal mental health disorders. In addition, we're one of only two services in Australia offering specialist treatment in dissociative disorders. We accept both private and self-insured patients. We also welcome eligible veterans' and war widows under our Tier 2 provider relationship with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA).
Belmont Private is highly committed to the ongoing development of our staff to ensure we continue to be at the leading edge of our field. We're well supported in this regard by the Cannan Institute, an on-site educational and research program for mental health and psychiatric disorders.
In addition, as a partner with a number of major universities in Queensland, we're actively involved with the under-graduate and post-graduate education of health professionals from medicine, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy and social work disciplines.
Belmont Private Hospital is an authorised mental health service under the Queensland Mental Health Act 2000 and is fully accredited by the Australian Council on Health Care Standards. In March 2006, we were acquired by Healthe Care Australia Pty Ltd, Australia's largest privately owned private hospital group. Conolly & Pinel Clinics
Belmont Private Hospital has two on-site private consulting suites, the Conolly Clinic and the Pinel Clinic.
These clinics and private consulting suites are purpose built to ensure privacy and confidentiality for all who attend.
Although co-located on the hospital's premises, the clinics are run separately to the hospital. All psychiatrists who see patients in these clinics have full admitting rights to the hospital.
On-site parking is available with easy access to the reception and waiting areas.
