Dear Dr. Moguel, I can never thank you enough for your help, your skills, and your kindness that you gave me and my family during my heart attack episode in Cabo . . .
I have been feeling well and my stamina is beginning to return . . . my blood pressure has been in the 88-95 over 55-60 range . . . and I'm taking short walks. I have been seen by my GP, but I am still waiting to see the cardiologist up here (our HMO system needs help!) . . . my appointment is tomorrow (July 27th), I'll let you know what I find out from him.
Please, also thank the Amerimed staff and Doctors . . . they are very sympathetic and very professional, which are key elements to positive outcome that I experienced. I've told all my friends and relatives about how well you and your team treated me and the family . . . they are very impressed!
If you are ever in the San Francisco area, please let us know as we would like to see you again . . . and we will look you up the next time we come to Cabo!
Your Friends,
Eric, Wendy and Family
PS- I have attached a few memorable photos of my recovery and release.

To whom it may concern:
Words cannot adequately describe how traumatic it is to be in a foreign country and experience having severe chest pain where you know already that you have two stents and are taking 8 medications daily to ward off further heart problems. It was a blessing to have the taxi pull up to AmeriMed and to see the words “American Hospital”. From the moment we rolled in through the doors until now as I prepare to leave, my family and I were treated with extremely competent care and compassion. I was seen immediately and also very quickly given medicine that alleviate my pain and calm me. The doctors took the time to learn mi cardiac history and called my doctor in the USA to confer whit them. I really appreciate them taking the extra time to do this. While my initial choice would have been to have my own cardiologist care for me, the cost of air ambulance was prohibitive. However, I am glad that we chose to stay and am very grateful that Dr. Montes Marin was able locate the doctor who come to do my procedure.
All of the medical staff far exceeded my expectations. I can truly say that I feel my care here was equal to or better than the care I received in the US during my stay in the hospital there. We experienced very little problems with language barriers as most of the staff are competent in English even though we don’t speak or understand Spanish.
The only area of concern has been the payment of account. Because I am covered under my employers’ insurance which is an excellent policy (Duke University Medical Center) we never have to prepay any charges. This was new for us and caused some stress until we were able to get word from the insurance company that this was procedure here and that they would assist us with paperwork when we got back home. I suggest that the business office assist patients make those connections with insurance companies earlier in the process or that the hospital works towards being able to direct bill insurance electronically so that patients only pay a portion while in Mexico.
Overall, were had and excellent experience, and I am 100% satisfied with the care and service I received at AmeriMed.

To Whom It May Concern,
I would like to tell you the experience I had at your facility in Cabos San Lucas on Monday, July 12, 2004.
I was brought to your hospital by taxi. I was diagnosed with a migraine headache and middle dehydration. I had fainted 4 times, before being brought to your hospital.
I was greeted by Dr. Martinez and two of his nurses.
I cannot begin to tell you, how wonderful Dr. Martinez and his staff were to me.
I told Dr. Martinez how frightened I was, being sick in another country. My husband and I are from California, U. S. A.
He immediately told me in a very soft voice that I would be ok and that he would take care of me. He stroked my forehead in reassurance.
I received excellent medical care. I was on an IV drip for a few hours. He did a thorough check-up, including blood tests.
His kindness, along with his nurses, made me feel safe and well taken care of.
My husband and I cannot thank you enough for having such a wonderful doctor on your staff.
I wish there were more doctors here in America like Dr. Adolfo Martinez.
Sincerely yours,
Linda Walther

Dear Dr. Swindle,
Thank you.
A simple phrase and easy to say. The significance of the appreciation that goes beyond the thank you can never be truly stated in words.
Thank you for perhaps saving my life.
Thank you for taking charge of an unusual situation and making timely and wise decisions.
Thank you for, as my Canadian physician stated, your aggressive treatment of my coronary condition.
Lastly, thank you for being persistent in not allowing the insurance company to send me back to Canada, without having the angiogram in Mexico.
The speed with which you responded to my condition and the concern for my well being, and Colleen's was greatly appreciated.
We know things would not have happened as quickly in Canada and we were glad to be in your capable hands in Mexico.
My wife (Colleen) and I would also like to take this opportunity to say a very heart-felt thank you to the staff at AmeriMed Hospital for the care, concern, and medical attention I received during treatment for my heart attack and coronary condition on March 9, 2000.
All of the doctors and medical staff at the AmeriMed hospital were wonderful and did all they could to make an unfortunate situation positive and pleasant. Please thank Dr. Jaime Arturo Castaneda G. on our behalf. His concern and support was very helpful during the air ambulance flight to Guadalajara.
A special thank you goes to Terri for all her time, effort, and hard work in getting the insurance approvals.
Thank you so much!
Certainly, if we come back to Puerto Vallarta, we would like to express our appreciation to you in person.
Even in this unfortunate circumstance, we will always have fond memories of you, the kindness of the people in Mexico, in Puerto Vallarta, and the AmeriMed Hospital.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Vince and Colleen Hanson
