NHG is the first public healthcare group in Singapore to attain the prestigious Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in November 2005.
The awards are to recognise and honour hospitals in Asia that have succeeded in implementing best hospital practices and high standards of patient safety. Widely regarded as the esteemed hospital management awards programme in the Asia Pacific region, the significance of NHG's win over the years is a continued testimony of its commitment to clinical and service standards.
In 2006, NHG received more than 100 nominations, out of which 49 were chosen to be the winners including those from organisations such as the National Skin Centre and Ikids Paediatric Practice, who are winning the awards for the first time.
